Meet Red, a 4- to 6-year-old Golden Retriever, who was discovered on March 16th, 2024, during a feeding trip to the Corum landfill by our dedicated Garden volunteers. Separated from the packs of stray dogs, Red was struggling to survive in the harsh environment, especially with a cloudy eye that limited his vision. Upon closer inspection, it was clear that without help, he wouldn't make it. Recognizing his vulnerability, we immediately rescued Red and transported him to a clinic in Ankara for urgent medical care. There, it was determined that in addition to his vision impairment, Red had dental issues and was suffering from flea infestation. Despite his hardships, Red’s gentle nature shone through, and he quickly won the hearts of everyone at the clinic. Red is now fully vaccinated and in better health, enjoying playful moments with the clinic staff and other dogs. His journey from the landfill to safety is a testament to his resilience, and we are excited to find him the loving home he truly deserves. *** PLEASE NOTE *** -Age and breed are our best estimates and cannot be guaranteed. -The blue fence is 33.5" tall for height reference. -We are unable to test dogs with cats or children in Turkey due to location and circumstances.
