This beautiful girl Aspen is one of our recently pulled Texas shelter pups. She was found living in the woods in rural Texas with her puppies - cold, alone and starving. Luckily she was found and brought to a local shelter, and that's where we stepped in. We believe Aspen has previously had little to no human interaction as she was initially completely shut down. Aspen is now with a foster in Texas and as weeks have gone by, she has become more confident and curious. She loves observing her surroundings and especially being outdoors. Aspen adores her foster sibling, so she would love to have another dog in the home who can show her the ropes of what it's like to be an indoor pet. Unfortunately, like many dogs in Texas, Aspen has tested positive for Heartworm. She has 4 weeks of kennel rest remaining but will be cleared for travel to an approved adopter at that time and can be adopted anywhere in the US or Vancouver, Canada area.
