Let us reintroduce you to Sheena! Sheena is a 2-3 year old golden retriever looking for her forever home! Sheena is described as an incredible dog. She’s very sweet and loves human affection. She’s very cuddly and has started to initiate pets by nudging her nose against people. Positive reinforcement is her best friend - she’s smart and wants to please! Her adopter said she is doing great with her potty training and has even learned some basic obedience commands! She loves snuffle mats and recently just discovered how to play with toys. You may recognize Sheena from our June adoptions. We always do our very best when matching dogs to homes but sometimes a pup shows us what they need when they arrive and it just isn’t the right fit. While at the garden, Sheena was getting along with other dogs but we can NEVER guarantee this behavior will continue once the dogs are home. Sheena has had a tough time adjusting to her new environment and fur sibling. After lots of discussion with trainers and the TPGHR team, we are now looking for a home that better suits what Sheena is telling us she needs. Sheena’s lucky forever home will have a great head start since we already know her pretty well and how she is in a home environment, which we generally don’t have for most of our pups! It’s super important that we set Sheena up for success in her next home so this is what we’re looking for: A home with a fenced in backyard - the apartment lifestyle is not for Sheena Sheena needs to be in a home with no other pets.
