Copper is a 3 year old Golden Retriever. He came to our attention when one of our shelter partners in the Rio Grande Valley area of Texas alerted us to a stray, injured Golden Retriever in their care. He was flown to Washington, so we could better assess his situation. One of his front limbs has recently been amputated due to an old injury or congenital defect, while one of his back legs has a missing joint/socket. Copper will need an adopter with a laid back lifestyle and single story home, due to the fact that he only has 2 good legs. He would love a nice, cool backyard to spend some lazy days in. No outdoor adventures like hiking for this guy! Copper loves to have a ball thrown in the yard. He also likes to go for short car rides. He can be reactive towards other big dogs, so he may need some training in the future to feel more comfortable and reduce stress around other dogs. It is also very obvious this sweet boy was in a home as he responds to many commands and appears to be housebroken. ***PLEASE NOTE*** Copper is available for adoption anywhere in the US and Canada (Vancouver BC) only.
