Jasper is your typical, happy go lucky Golden Retriever who loves to play with balls. He is approximately 70 pounds and we estimate that he is around 7 years old. Jasper had a mass removed off of his abdomen that was diagnosed as a Grade 1 mast cell tumor. These tumors are relatively common, and Grade 1 tumors have the best prognosis (Grade 1 of 3). Based on the translation of his pathology report, we believe that the resection margins were negative for tumor, which is good news. Jasper recently had a checkup and there was no evidence of the tumor recurring or any new tumors. Yay Jasper! This area will need lifelong observation, but hopefully it will not require any further treatment. *** PLEASE NOTE *** The blue fence is 33.5†tall for height reference.
