Betty is an approximately 1 year old terrier mix. At only 11 pounds she is a small girl, but she is also a fighter. She contracted Parvo as a puppy, but is now healthy and only suffers from an occasional cough. She is a very fun and playful little lady. Her pictures don't do her personality justice! We know that she will thrive in a loving home! Her increasing confidence is reflected in her increasingly floppy and happy ears! She recently had an orthopedic evaluation with x-rays and she has some laxity of her patellar ligaments in her hind legs. This does not require surgery, but she would benefit from joint supplements. She had heavy tartar on her back teeth so she recently had a dental cleaning. * Betty is named after Betty White an American actress and comedian whose career spanned seven decades. She is often referred to as the "First Lady of Television". In addition to her on screen career she was a pet enthusiast and animal welfare advocate. She has been quoted as saying “I stayed in show business to pay for my animal business.” *** PLEASE NOTE *** Betty is available for adoption anywhere in the US.
