This one-of-a-kind girl was found in the countryside in a feeding area and then brought to the Garden. Just look at her eyes and other unique qualities. We believe they are a result of a condition known as leucism. Leucism is a partial loss of pigmentation, which can make the animal have white or patchily colored skin and fur. It differs from albinism in that the pigment cells in the eyes are not affected by the condition. Lara has light blue eyes. If she were albino she would have red eyes. We believe that this special girl may squint to shield her eyes from the bright sunlight. Lara gets along with other dogs but she is not especially playful with them. When she is near people she leans in and enjoys the perfect snuggling experience. Let us know if you can see yourself snuggling on your couch with this pretty girl. Lara is being fostered in Oregon. *** PLEASE NOTE *** The blue fence is 3icants would preferably be located within driving distance.6†tall for height reference.
